Role Overview - Youth Worker / Life Ready Coach:
In this fantastic role, your primary responsibility is to deliver transformational activities, dedicated coaching and support to young people in Kings Lynn. You ll be tasked with delivering 1:1 coaching sessions and holding & managing a case load.
Responsibilities Youth Worker / Life Ready Coach:
Provide engagement, educational and general learning activities to young people.Support young people to identify, explore and commit to written long term personal development and employment goals.Deliver accredited training, such as ASDAN s and increase aspirations and confidence in young people.Deliver Tenancy and Independent Living Skills courses.Support young people who are taking part in the programme in matters such as housing benefits.Complete an Outcome Star with young people on the programme in order to show progress.Support volunteers of the programme.Carry out risk assessments and reviews for planned activities when necessary. The post may require you to meet with young people on an evening over 7 days.
Requirements:
Understanding of effective participation methodology.Have or be happy to work towards a Coaching qualification.Engagement skills with young people and adults from a variety of backgrounds.Excellent interpersonal skills, sufficient to communicate effectively with a wide range of staff, young people and external contacts.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Able to develop strong positive working relationships with colleagues.Prior experience of working in a partnership setting.Proven track record of youth participation and involvement.Experience of acting in an advisory capacity, confidently making recommendations to external partners.Skilled in running small group sessions/activities with young people. O level / GCSE or Equivalent in Maths and English.Evidence of recent relevant training.Able to work with and support young people from all backgrounds.Able and willing to work unsocial hours.Hold a full driving licence and have own transport.
