The successful candidate will play a key role in creating a supportive and stimulating learning environment, ensuring each student reaches their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally. Key responsibilities include: Plan and deliver engaging lessons in accordance with the National Curriculum, with a focus on the Year 6 curriculum and key transition skills. Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students and provide targeted support where necessary. Conduct regular formative and summative assessments to track student progress. Use data to inform teaching strategies and implement interventions as needed. Prepare students for the transition to secondary school, including developing key skills and fostering independence. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a smooth transition process for students. Create a positive and inclusive classroom culture that promotes a love for learning and respectful behaviour. Establish clear expectations for student behaviour and implement effective behaviour management strategies. Maintain open and effective communication with parents, providing regular updates on student progress and addressing any concerns. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK. Proven experience teaching in Key Stage 2, with a focus on Year 6. Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and assessment practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external stakeholders.
