A Primary School in the Longwell Green area of South Gloucestershire are currently looking for afull time Year 1 class teacher to join their team. You will be joining a teamof strong and supportive staff members dedicated to providing a curriculum thatequips children with the essential knowledge necessary to help buildfoundations within their learning. This School is a 2 form entry school whichemphasises the need to teach children lifelong values so they may grow up to becaring, confident and respectful adults.

Your newrole

You will be working as afull time Year 1 class teacher on a full-time basis. Good knowledge of the Year1 curriculum is desirable but not essential, as you will be provided withtraining necessary for you to carry out the role as successfully as you can.This will include elaborate phonics training where you will master the Read,Write Inc scheme to support children's reading journey. Ability to assesschildren's knowledge in a play based setting will be an essential part ofyour role as you will be supporting children with a variety of needs who arestill transitioning from reception. While this role requires patience and agood level of behaviour management, ECTs are welcome to apply as long as youare passionate about teaching young children and are willing to learn.

Whatyou’ll need to succeed

Have teaching experience within the last 5 years Be confident in KS1 Hold a UK Qualified Teacher Status Good Knowledge of the English National Curriculum
