Job Title: Yard Operative/FLT Operator

Location: Dudley

Are you a proactive and experienced individual with a valid counterbalance forklift license? We are currently recruiting for a Yard Operative/FLT Operator to join our team in Dudley. While experience working outdoors or with waste would be advantageous, it is not essential. If you are a reliable and skilled professional with a strong work ethic and excellent forklift operating skills, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

Operate a counterbalance forklift to load, unload, and move materials within the yard. Ensure safe and efficient stacking and storage of goods, following best practices and safety guidelines. Conduct regular inspections and maintenance checks on the forklift to ensure its proper functioning. Assist with general yard duties, such as organizing and tidying up the area. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and productivity. Adhere to health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Receive and inspect incoming materials, verifying quantities and quality. Assist with inventory management and stock control activities.

Requirements:

Valid counterbalance forklift license is essential. Previous experience operating a counterbalance forklift in a yard or warehouse environment is preferred. Strong understanding of safe forklift operating practices and ability to follow safety protocols. Excellent coordination and spatial awareness skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual lifting and carrying when necessary. Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic. Basic computer skills for inventory management and data recording. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Knowledge of working outdoors or with waste would be advantageous but not essential.
