NO dents or scratches, lacquer as new. All valves and slides work as they should. This trumpet was originally bought in 2008 by a sax player who just could not get on with the trumpet so it was little used and then bought by me 3 years ago when it also had little use due to medical reasons. Comes with original Yamaha 14B4 mouthpiece and immaculate hard case.

Monel pistons

Hammered one-piece bell

A hammered yellow brass bell produces a slightly more intense yet pure and perfectly-balanced tone with quick response and extra presence due in part to advanced manufacturing techniques.

Hand-lapped pistons and slides

Hand-lapping pistons and slides ensures an absolutely perfect fit and seal between the pistons and casing or slide parts. Such a perfect fit helps to achieve smooth air flow and smooth action and improve the response and intonation of the instrument.

Pressure-formed tubing

Perfectly rounded tubing results in less turbulence and a smoother air flow, thus allowing for an excellent scale and reduced resistance.

Laser-fused pluzuma welded bell

A high-energy laser fuses the brass together for a virtually seamless bell which allows continuous even vibrations.

Unbraced inner outer tuning slide

As with all Yamaha lightweight trumpets, the YTR-6310Z has an unbraced inner outer tuning slide which makes the trumpet comfortably open with less resistance.

One-piece, drawn, gold brass leadpipe

This type of leadpipe offers excellent intonation, response and proper resistance. The step bore design is a medium bore trumpet fitted with a large bore tuning slide. This design allows for smoother air flow with less resistance.

Large bell flare and large bore tuning slide

The large bore tuning slide combined with the large bell flare makes this medium bore trumpet produce a very big sound with very little effort. (Originally sold by Yamaha for £2300)
