To support the Workshop Manager to review workloads, resources and tooling to ensure sufficient capabilities are in place to meet demandsTo lead the shop floor team in the Unit, covering shift patterns as requiredTo co–ordinate allocation of workshop resources to meet demands and training requirementsReview technical data and job work scope to assess labour hours and resource allocation.To ensure planning/job progress updates are providedTo coordinate with the manager, to plan work priorities and to ensure allocation of resourcesRaise design queries and action engineering changes and deal with queries across all unitEnsure BoM material requirements are communicatedTo Lead special projectsAttend internal meetings alongside Projects/Design/PlanningImplement KPIS's and OTIFTo monitor and reinforce Quality and Health & Safety Procedures and policies Key Competencies required for the role:
Demonstratable people management skill and leadership abilitiesAbility to lead special projectsWorking knowledge of ERP systemsHave an understanding of Lean ManagementExperience of Managing and Implementing KPI'sBackground in Manufacturing proceduresCompetence in the use of MS Office productsGood interpersonal skills to liaise closely with other departments.Report writing for Senior Management
