Description

Levenseat is a leading Scottish Resource Management company working with 60 per cent of local authorities in Scotland and operating seven separate facilities, to recover & recycle resources and generate renewable power.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to join the Maintenace team as our Workshop Plant Mechanic.

The successful candidate will be based at our workshop in Forth, Lanark working on Levenseat heavy plant equipment.

The maintenance team are an essential part of the company's ambition to continue to drive our endeavour for excellence in customer service and support our operational teams.

The Workshop Plant Mechanic will work to continually improve our safety, systems, and processes and provide continued training and product knowledge.

The successful candidate will be self–motivated, and have the ability to competently service and repair a variation of plant and equipment and resolve any mechanical issues.

It is essential that you have an awareness and aptitude for health, safety, and continuous improvement to be successful in this Workshop Plant Mechanic role.

Main Duties Carry out workplace risk assessments independently and with the teamCommunicate effectively with supervisors and managementResolve technical problems relating to plant and equipment and share knowledge, use initiative whilst on–siteCarry out and record regular plant inspectionsCarry out scheduled servicing in accordance with the manufacturer's specificationsRoutine maintenance of heavy plant machinery – excavators, loading shovels, dozers, telehandlers, etc.Provide clear and concise data recordsLead the familiarisation or provide advice to others apprentices/operators in the safe operation and correct maintenance of plantCarry out daily/weekly work programmes set by the managerCarry out workload in collaboration with operational teamsRecord all work carried out within the company's electronic maintenance systemCarry out workshop inspections as instructedMaintain work area in a safe and tidy conditionEnsure compliance with company and legislative safety and environment requirementsManage working hours whilst on–site according to company proceduresVarious other tasks consummate with your role or development Benefits We offer a comprehensive range of benefits including:
