Our client is one of the UK’s leading WordPress digital agencies, specialising in bespoke website design, custom WordPress development, branding, email marketing, photography, hosting and maintenance.
They are seeking a skilled Senior WordPress PHP Developer to solve complex problems with clean, maintainable code.
About the Role
The ideal candidate will be an experienced PHP Developer with a passion for solving complex problems through developing clean, well-written and maintainable code as well as supporting and helping to build upon existing internal systems.
You will be working on a hybrid basis from home and a certain amount of days per month to be in the office. As a confident Developer, you will be provided with opportunities to work as a Technical Lead on specific projects.
You will have
Extensive commercial experience in WordPress development Experience developing custom plugins and themes Understanding of how to use hooks & filters to extend popular WordPress plugins such as ACF and WooCommerce Experience with Javascript/JQuery Familiarity with Bootstrap CSS Experience integrating 3rd-party REST APIs Good attention to detail and strive for perfection Awareness of web fundamentals, such as performance, semantics and web accessibility Strong communication skills/comfortable in client meetings Great interpersonal skills
Required Experience
Strong problem-solving skills At least 4+ years commercial PHP or WordPress development experience Good knowledge of PHP fundamentals Able to use standard workflow tools (Git, Composer, NPM) Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Desirable Experience
Knowledge of platforms we work closely with: Dear CRM, Klaviyo, Looker Studio Knowledge and experience of Shopify and or Shopify Plus An understanding of Google Tag Manager and GA4 Experience working in a creative agency environment
