Wedgwood Biscuit Barrel in Black Jasper with EPNS lid, metal handle, top and bottom rim and feet.
Research tells me that it’s pre 1891 as that was when the ENGLAND back-stamp was added and this item has only the Wedgwood logo on its base. This would fit in with what we as a family know about the provenance of this item.
The EPNS stamped lid along with the handle, the 3 ball feet along with the upper and lower decorative rims could all do with a clean by someone in the know as I’m afraid of spoiling it.
It is in very good condition and has no chips, dents, cracks or damage to it.
The inside is white ceramic and shows no cracks or splits. There is some extremely slight discolouration in just one area near the rim. We have never known it to be used for at least 60years.
It’s 5.5” in diameter by 7” high to include the feet and the finial on the lid.
Cash on collection is preferred for obvious reasons, however, postage/PayPal could be arranged if necessary. Cheadle Staffs
