Very rarely found as original as this, a Wassell 50 Childs MX bike. 50cc twist and go 2 stroke Franco Morini engine which starts and runs easily from the unusual forward rotating kickstart. I have tidied the bike up and tried to leave a little original patina in preference to just replacing parts. the tank was leaking slightly being plastic and seamed from two mouldings so I have epoxy lined it with marine grade resin and it is fuel tight now. The ignition has been adapted to run on a battery / coil using the original points. there is a 6v battery under the seat and I have wired a lead to plug into a charger which I will include. We run race bikes on a similar total loss battery and get a couple of hours running time from a charge. The wheel rims are original and sprayed satin black. The forks were freed off, cleaned greased and fitted with gaiters to prevent further corrosion (there is no damping so no fork seals!) Rear suspension is rubber block (like an early mini) so maintenance free. Unusually this one still has all of it;s effective chain guards - vital if using with kids.

So, a great Christmas gift for someone small and their first British collectors bike. Or a great display bike for the man cave (display stand included) or cafe / vintage shop etc.

Asking £995 but will listen to sensible offers. Can deliver but it will fit in a small car.
