Our client specialise in delivering care for young people aged 10 - 18 years old. Your new role
You will be working a 4 on 4 off pattern of waking night shifts in a newly established emergency housing for looked after children. This service will offer housing to one child/young person for up to 28 days and is part of a well established children's care organisation.
This role involves:
Responding to any child care concerns
Making sure that the child or young person has their needs met and that they are safeguarded from harm, abuse, exploitation or neglect
Working as part of the wider team to co-ordinate with social workers, parents/guardians and other professional agencies
Being sure that the building, furniture and equipment are well maintained
The location of this role is easily accessible from the city centre. However, due to the nature of the role, a full driving licence is essential.
What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience working in social care or with young people
Level 3 NVQ in Children's Social Care or be willing to work towards this qualification
Full driving licence
