Role Purpose:
To provide administrative support to the Volunteering team
Key Tasks:
Contact clients referred to the Service
Contact referrers and send out referral packs by email and post
Maintain client confidentiality
Input data on Charity Log as required
Work within Age UK Merton’s policies and procedures
Basic administrative tasks e.g. photocopying, filing
Other tasks as requested by the Co-ordinator
Skills required for this role are:
Reliability, punctuality and trustworthiness
Good listening skills
Understanding and empathy with the needs of older people
Ability to adhere to boundaries
Ability to be open minded and non-judgemental
Ability to be friendly and patient
Empathy
Good communication skills especially in English
Good telephone manner
Basic IT literacy e.g. basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook, ability to navigate the internet
Ability and/or willingness to learn how to use Charity Log
Agreement and ability to work within Age UK’s policies and procedures
Availability of 3 months and over preferred
