GORGEOUS STUNNING PIECE! This is a beautiful vintage sun or starburst themed large metal oval wall mirror that was left behind in an older home. Unfortunately, I do not have specifics on origins of this lovely piece. Probably 1950s-1960s in age, country of origin unknown. Features a starburst or sun pattern made of individually welded overlapping “leaves.” Has a convex configuration, where outer edges of leaves are flush to wall and center portion is raised 1.5” off wall. Interior oval framing with twisted metal cording. Finish is what I would call gold gilt-like, it has a lovely vintage patina with some small / mild areas of oxidation or missing gold finish, which adds to vintage look & feel. Please see all pics. Mirror without cracks or scratches, but it does have 2 tiny chips around the outside edges, which are not visible when mirror is mounted into frame. Back side has one metal welded loop for hanging vertically, and one metal welded loop for hanging horizontally, so either orientation can be used. Buyer may want to add mirror wire for extra hanging support.Overall in good preowned vintage condition considering age. Large piece, and measures approx 31”H x 25”W x 1.5”D. Interior mirror portion measures approx 16”H x 9.5”W. Weighs close to 6 pounds. This piece is a showstopper! Would be a wonderful focal point and conversation piece in your vintage, antique, Hollywood Regency, boho glam or MCM home! Mirror is easily replaced into frame by bending the 4 metal clips on back.
