This antique mirror is an even and true silver metallic silver throughout. The wood frame is meticulously hand carved with a beautiful floral and elegant scroll pattern. The colors are red and gold leaf on a brown wood frame. There are a few areas where obvious aging has taken place but it is functional and sturdy enough to be placed in your home , studio or office for a marvelous piece of art for all to behold. I dont have much information as to the origin of this magical piece but it is of my opinion that it formerly belonged on a carousel as part of the decorative  of a Merry go round from my childhood days. There is some kind of what may be,  an artist initials on the backside and a few areas where there are age related wear and tear. I will include all appropriate  photos  .
