Early cordless phone from BT. Includes original instruction booklet but no box.
The BT Freeway (Cordless Telephone No. 3 A-H) comprises a handset and mains powered base unit. The handset could be used up to 100 metres away from the base unit under ideal conditions, and communicated via a radio link to the base unit.
The base unit incorporated a two metre wire aerial for base to handset signalling and a telescopic aerial for handset to base signalling. The handset incorporates an internal aerial for base to handset signalling and a telescopic aerial for handset to base signalling and a set of rechargeable batteries to power the handset.
Apparently cost £100 in the early 1980s!
