Vintage (1960s) Cabin Automat 35mm slide projector, with handbook, protective dust cover and 36x Cabin magazines
This Cabin Automat 35mm slide projector (circa 1960) comes complete with its mains power cable and remote (cable) control (for slide change and focus), thirty-six original vintage Cabin 36 slot slide magazines (each with their original white Cabin plastic dust covers), plus the original Cabin vinyl protective dust cover for the projector (which has a storage pouch for the mains power lead and remote control) and the original handbook for the projector.
On the rear panel of the projector there is a white on/off switch for the projector bulb (so that the bulb can be turned off after use, but the power to the projector left connected, so the fan keeps running to cool the bulb down and prolong its life) plus a red manual slide change button (which has the same function as the red button on the remote control).
For future reference should it need changing, the bulb is a bayonet-mount 300W Silvania blue top, serial number SYL-183, code BA155.
The projector is in mint condition, and I have checked that it is still in good working order; the lamp, fan and magazine transport are all still ok, but there is one small issue …. both of the rubber drive belts have stretched and are very loose, so should be replaced soon (I don’t think my father ever had to replace them, so they are approaching 60 years old). They are available from Van Eck Video Services (NL) at a cost of Euro 16.88 for both belts in a set.
Dimensions: 18 cm wide x 27 cm deep x 18 cm high
Weight: 4.0 kg (without magazine, power cable or remote control).
