The role
We are seeking an Assistant Veterinary Surgeon to join our well run and busy practice in Old Isleworth.
Joining our professional, personable team in the practice, you'll deliver exceptional care by going beyond consulting to listen and empathising, putting patients and clients first, always.
As qualified MRCVS, you'll already have good experience gained in small animal practice. You'll be competent in clinical examination and surgery and confident working sole charge or as part of the wider team. Sharing our values being trustworthy, caring and progressive, you will have all the softer skills essential to working effectively, building trusting relationships with your colleagues, harnessing our one team culture.
You will also display good communication skills and the desire to share your knowledge and skills by being an outstanding, positive example to others.

Skills and experience
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1-5 years' UK small animal practice (or UK equivalent) experience and be confident in their recommendations.
We collaborate between all the branches so you are supported whether sole charge or in one of the larger branches.
You must be pet and client-centric and have excellent communication skills, competent in spays and castrates.

Medivet Old Isleworth is a professional but fun environment where client and patient care are balanced with great team morale and enjoyment of our wonderful job. You will be supported by an excellent team of RVNs, Trainee Nurses and dedicated reception staff.
We have fantastic clients and we are active in the local community. We take pride in our collaborative approach; you will have the opportunity to call upon our experienced vets for advice.
The practice is well-equipped including digital x-ray, ultrasound, full lab including microscope, urinalysis machine, haematology and biochemistry analyser. All out-of-hour care is managed by a local Medivet hospital in Richmond, where you will also have access to CT and MRI.
