This is an extremely rare relic of post war Japan made 1948-51. After the war, Japanese munitions factories began to produce these Singer clone sewing machines for the European market. This one is made by Juki (who are still making sewing machines) and sits in its original Singer treadle base.
It is in very good working order and condition with excellent condition japanning and decals. There are some faults to the veneers but then, it is old! The machine head folds away into the base. It's a lovely, rare machine. I have owned it for the last 25+ years.
