**Very Rare Genuine Carlton Ware Dimpled**

**1/2 Pint Stout/Guinness Glass Design Mug**

I have tried to find another example of this type, but haven't found one. I have consulted with an ex-auction house valuer, and apparently there were some very limited edition Mugs/Cups brought out by Carlton Ware in the 1970's and 1980's and this was probably one of them - there are other Guinness related Mugs/cups available, but are branded. This example is of a 1/2 pint old style dimpled beer glass and is black in colour with a cream coloured top to look like a 1/2 pint of Guinness or Stout and has no branding or brewery/drink name attached to it.

I have also researched the Carlton Ware back stamp to make sure this was not a fake, and found

that this was the Woods' Rubber Stamp mark used from 1969 to1989 and was printed using a rubber stamp. It was usually stamped in black.

Measurements:

Approx 75mm diameter rim and 64mm diameter base

Approx 97mm height and 110mm width with handle

Holds approx 1/2 pint

There is a tiny mark on handle which looks like a tiny missing piece of glaze - I have tried to show this on last photo, but is difficult to see.
