Vehicle Technician & MOT Tester

Shifts: 42 hours p/w, 5 days out of 7 on a rota

Location: Northampton

Igloo has a fantastic permanent, opportunity for vehicle technicians and MOT Testers, the roles offer the right candidates an excellent opportunity to work within one of the UK s leading automotive companies who have operations across the country.

Within this role you will be diagnosing, repairing, servicing and MOT Testing a range of vehicles from small family cars through to high end vehicles within a busy, fast paced automotive technical centre.

The Role:

As a vehicle technician and MOT Tester, you will be working on all makes and models of vehicles and you will typically be undertaking the below:

Advising on best methods of repair and determining repair times in consultation with the Preparation Manager. Carrying out the company inspection process, noting all areas requiring repair or service. Communicating with internal teams and departments where necessary. Repairing vehicle faults as identified either by the checklist or during the repair process. Ensuring the efficient and effective use of workshop facilities and equipment. Providing complex diagnostics to a wide variety of vehicles. Ensuring workstations and preparation areas are always clean and tidy. Ensuring daily, weekly, monthly service and repair targets are met. What kind of person we are looking for?:

Significant vehicle diagnosis and repair experience. Full UK Driving Licence required. Previous experience working in a similar role. High attention to detail and quality of work. Ability to work fast and efficiently . Benefits:
