Van Driver - Temp to Perm

We are looking for a driver in the Torquay area.

12 (midnight) start - 5/6 days per week including every Saturday. 7.5 hours per shift.

Age restrictions due to insurance purposes.

You will be working in a small team so a good sense of humor, reliability and good customer service is a must.

Responsibilities:

- Safely operate a commercial van to transport goods and materials to designated locations

- Load and unload cargo from the van, ensuring proper handling and securing of items

- Follow delivery schedules and routes provided by the dispatcher or supervisor

- Inspect the van for any mechanical issues or damage before and after each trip

- Communicate with customers and warehouse personnel to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues or concerns

- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery receipts

Requirements:

- Valid driver's license with a maximum of 6 points

- Proven experience as a van driver or delivery driver is preferred

- Knowledge of local traffic laws and routes and a good safety record

- Ability to drive various types of vans, including flatbed vans if required

- Basic mechanical knowledge to perform minor vehicle repairs or maintenance if needed

- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and warehouse personnel

- Strong organizational skills to manage delivery schedules and maintain accurate records
