Zorrita's story
Meet Zorrita, Zorrita earned her name because of her resemblance to a bushy tailed fox. Zorrita was one of twelve kittens rescued from the deplorable conditions of a hoarder home. As a result of the under socialization that often happens with hoarding, she is social around cats, but shy around humans. Developing trust will take an investment of kindness, patience and time. The best way to build trust with Zorrita is to allow her to find her way around her new home on her own timetable. Zorrita will be the kitten who will hide and only come out when the house is quiet until she feels secure. For this reason, it would be wise to limit her first space to a small room like a spare bathroom, and visit with treats and toys several times a day.. This will allow her to get accustomed to the smells, sounds, and rhythms of her new home before being overwhelmed by a larger house full of activity. Zorrita responds well to handfeeding treats. Once Zorrita becomes comfortable and feels secure, she will nap in whatever room you are in, especially if the TV is on. She is very playful, and her favorite toys are crinkly mylar foil balls, soft fabric balls that she can carry like prey, anything that makes noise, feathered wands, and laser pointers. Zorrita would do very well with a playmate, preferable another kitten to chase
