Zing's story
Zing is a very shy but sweet cat. She tolerated all handling for her exam but was very nervous and kept trying to run away from the examiner. Please allow 3-6 months for adjustment time.
When Zing gets into her new home, she should start out in a single room (i.e. the bedroom, office) that still gets a lot of foot traffic but isn't as overwhelming as opening her up to the entire house. It is very important to visit with her multiple times a day (first starting by just talking to her and gradually working your way up to petting her and coaxing her out with treats). She will most likely hide at first, and should stay in the single room until she is actively coming out and seeking attention on her own. Once Zing is adjusted and seems relaxed in the single room, you can slowly introduce her to the rest of the house and the other pets.
We would recommend calm, older children in the household as she is nervous/uncomfortable with handling, and has never been around children. She has no history with dogs (recommend calm dogs with positive cat experience) or cats.
