My story
Visit for more information or to fill out an application.Zeus is a handsome lad who arrived to rescue about 20 pounds underweight. His foster home has done a wonderful job getting his weight back up to normal and he's been updated on all his vetting and neutered. He is now ready to find a German Shepherd experienced owner! We believe Zeus was always an outside dog before coming to rescue, so he's been working hard on basic manners and house training. He will need someone willing to continue this in his new home.Zeus has a medium to high energy level and needs daily exercise. Zeus does prefer to be with his people as much as possible and does exhibit some separation anxiety and needs a secure kennel when left alone - this has improved with a regular routine and consistency.Zeus does well with other dogs of all sizes. He will try to be dominant if allowed, but if corrected, he mellows out very nicely. Zeus has been around cats and didn't seem to mind them, but he is not currently fostered with any cats. Zeus is not currently fostered with children, but he has been around some as young as 3 and does well, outside of being clumsy and over excited. Additional training will be needed to ensure he will continue to learn the proper behaviors around children.Zeus' adoption donation fee is $300.00 - he is up to date on all vetting including vaccinations, heartworm tested negative, neutered, microchipped, and current on flea/tick/heartworm/deworming protocols.
