  My story

Get some peace of mind and take Zen home today!Hi, everyone!  My name is Zen, and I’m a five-year-old terrier male, weighing in at 16 pounds.  I’m a sweet and loveable guy who has just been chilling with my foster family after getting rescued from TAP.  I’m already spayed and am completely potty-trained and house-trained.  My health is in tip-top shape, too; however, I only have four teeth left, so wet food is the only thing on the menu for me!A little bit about me, you ask?  Well, I love all hoomans and want to be their best friend.  That means following you around everywhere and trying to get in as many snuggles as I can!  I also really enjoy eating and going on walks.  But my most favorite thing of all is to be around other doggie friends.  I love their company, and I like to be their shadow and feed off their energy. My ideal household would be one with some doggie siblings!  Even though I’d be okay on my own, having some canine company is a must if you are going to be gone for long periods throughout the day.  I’ve never been around cats or children before, but I think I would probably do just fine after a slow introduction.  So, if you think I’d give your life a little more clarity, let’s meet!  My adoption fee is $350 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/Note: Zen was brought to TAP with abnormal tissue on the tip of his penis. It was biopsied and there was no evidence of cancer, and just an infection. Zen has been treated successfully with a course of antibiotics. The infection has cleared, and he is medically cleared. Keep the penis in the sheath if it ever gets stuck out of and if clinical signs develop, a urine culture and tissue is recommended. Aesthetically his penis looks a little different, but is functional and normal. Additionally, Zen had severe dental calculi and gingivitis with missing and worn teeth upon intake, and had more removed during a dental procedure. Due to a significant number of tooth loss, he can only consume wet food for his meals.##1181442##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Zen, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
