My story

　　Hello there! My name is Zara. I'm a striking lady and I have a silky smooth coat perfect for pets.. I came to High Country Humane because my owner couldn't provide the type of home I needed. Regardless of where I came from, I'm just focused on finding my furever home. Is it with you?

　　Maybe I should tell you a bit about myself first! I'm as devoted as I am independent. I am mostly potty-trained AND crate trained! I've previously lived with cats, dogs, and older kids and we peacefully coexisted. I've also been around livestock and birds. I already know the commands "sit", "stay", "come", and "lie down". My previous owners described me as an active and strong gal. I can come off as shy when meeting new people, but once I warm up to someone I get comfortable with them and am a lovebug!

　　If you were curious, I'm fixed, microchipped, and up-to-date on my vaccines. Also, I need to go home with a leash and collar. If you don't bring your own, no worries; you can easily buy them onsite for $5 each!
