Zane's story
Birthdate: January 26, 2017. Meet Zane! Zane is a loving young kitty with a sad story. He was originally rescued by someone who passed away unexpectedly. Zane was very sad and didn't know what was happening. The original rescuer's family gave him away to a family with children who were not very nice to him. Because Zane was hiding all of the time from the kids, they gave him away to someone else. But this person had another cat that would attack Zane all the time. This upset Zane so much that he pulled out his own fur, and it was recommended that he be put on prozac due to stress. When he came into the rescue, it took him a very long time [about a month] to be comfortable in his new environment, but he slowly started to relax and enjoy his foster mom's company. Zane now enjoys the company of the other foster kitties in his home. He plays like a kitten and loves when someone plays with him and his toys. Zane likes to cuddle and loves his belly rubbed. He still gets scared when he hears a loud noise or something falls near him; we think that eventually, once he knows he will be safe and loved, he won't be so fearful of these things. Zane has already made such great improvements and is a favorite in his foster home!
