My story
The perfect family dog!
Hi, friends! I’m Yuri – an 8-month-old, 22-pound Shepherd mix female – looking for my furever home! I’ve come all the way from Los Adoptables in Ensenada, where I was rescued with a broken femur and leg wound that had not been treated for months. Since then, I’m happy to report that I’ve had successful FHO surgery and have been in healing and recovery mode with my foster fam. I would definitely benefit from physical therapy once in my new home in order to increase my strength. I have no other special needs, and I’ve already been spayed.
I’m a super-sweet, high-energy pup who needs regular exercise and mental stimulation. I’m very talkative, am a peanut butter addict, and I enjoy playing tug with other doggie friends. As far as my training goes, I am already crate trained and am working on my leash manners and basic commands. I have just a little bit of separation anxiety when my humans leave, but am otherwise, a happy, self-assured gal.
I think I’d do best in a home where I would have regular company. Ideally, this would be with a family member who worked from home. I’d also thrive having a doggie sibling (or two) who could provide me with constant companionship. Another request that I have is that my new home devote enough time and patience to the rehabilitation of my leg. My body is improving each and every day, and I’d love to continue my therapy in my new home. Other than that, I do great around young children and would make the perfect family pup.
Do we sound like a match? My adoption fee is $450 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/.
