Yogi here! He's is a handsome all-white miniature poodle. (Yes, he's a non-shedding breed.) He's about 10 years old and about 20 pounds. Yogi was left behind when his owners were placed in a care home. He was sent to a shelter, and they noticed he was limping but no one knew why, so Lil Bit of Love rescued him. It turns out that Yogi has an injured back leg. It's repairable, so Lil Bit of Love will cover the surgery to repair that injury. However, surgery is a few weeks away, and we don't want to leave Yogi without a loving home any longer than necessary! It would also be so nice for him to have a home and family of his very own to love and care for him while he recovers after his surgery.Since Yogi recently lost everyone he loved and everything he knew, he's understandably kind of fearful. As his foster mom, I can see that he wants to trust, and he loves to sneak up and snuggle with me in quiet moments, but foster homes can be loud and busy, and Yogi is not a "busy" kind of dog. He startles and gets afraid when doors open and close or there are loud noises. He would really love to live in a quiet house with adults, like he used to, with people of his own who will help him feel safe and loved again. Yogi does tolerate children, though he would rather hide from them. He's choosy about other dogs since he didn't live with any before, so if you have one, they would need to meet first. If you have been looking for a snuggly companion who's super fluffy, soft, and sweet, Yogi is hoping you'll consider letting him into your heart and home, and give him time and love to heal his leg and heart.
