Xena is playful, active, friendly and very very smart. She already knows sit and spin for a treat and is crate trained. She is such a good girl and learns anything you want to teach her very quickly!
Xena looks like a dachshund with tall legs!
She is only about 13 pounds. We are not sure of her exact mix but she is super adorable and a non-shedder too!
Xena was wandering as an abandoned stray in a rural part of Arizona. A nice lady traveling saw her in the road and tried to catch her, but she was elusive and got away. With the help of a trap and determination, and after three days of trying,
she was finally caught!!!
But it was quickly discovered that she was badly injured from a coyote attack.
Her neck, side of face and top of head were badly torn open.
Xena is recovering very nicely from several bite wounds that were serious but improving and healing up very well. She is ready for a forever home SOON and we are taking applications on her now!
She has been living in a cone for the past six weeks and is just about done with conehead life!
She will be SO happy to be free of that soon.
