My story
After some time with Wrigley at the shelter he has made it abundantly clear that he is a gentleman, and as such, will henceforth be known as Sir Wrigley! HOW WE KNOW SIR WRIGLEY IS A GENTLEMAN: Sir Wrigley has manners. He likes to keep his personal space super clean so that makes him very popular with kennel staff.
His previous owners said that he has a bladder of steel, reported that he knows how to sit, and that he also responds to the phrase "go outside?"We learned a lot about Sir Wrigley from his previous owners.
Wrigley is great around children and has lived with and been exposed to kids as young as a few months old! His adopters really didn't want to give this guy up; he was part of the family they say. Severe allergies became present in the home that left the family and Wrigley at am impasse - he is at the shelter due to something out of his control. The previous owners have stopped at the shelter a few times since he ended up back with us (he came to us as a stray in 2020 before they adopted him) and always speak very highly of him and how much they miss him and how grateful they were to have him for as long as they did. Sir Wrigley is grateful as well. Breakfast? GRATEFUL. Pets? GRATEFUL. Walkies? GRATEFUL. Nap time? GRATEFUL. Eye contact? GRATEFUL. Sir Wrigley makes everyone feel
welcome. As a one-dog welcoming committee, there is no door greeter as wiggly as Sir Wrigley. If retail stores had Sir Wrigley mascots, the American economy would be repaired in a matter of days. Sir Wrigley does not beg. He understands that "no means no" and he will not push the issue on that pint of Ben ‘N Jerry's. Bonus: He won't shame you for eating it all in one sitting either. He knows you are beautiful at any size.Sir Wrigley rolls with the flow. You wanna sleep all day? So does he. You wanna party outside? So does he. You
wanna have an existential crisis because life is an illusion? Sir Wrigley knows you will calm down if you rub his belly, and he will offer it to you gladly.Sir Wrigley will make some man or woman very lucky when they welcome this class act in to their home.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Wrigley, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
