Wirehaired Terrier - Sawyer - Small - Baby - Male - Dog

　　Sawyer is a Wirehaired Terrier / Chihuahua mix and is approximately 6.5 months old (Aug. 2013). Sawyer and his siblings were four to five weeks old when they were found in a ditch. Sawyer was nursed back to health and is looking for the perfect family who will love and cherish him forever. Sawyer is a happy go lucky little guy who is wiry and gregarious. He weighs 10 pounds and loves to play with his foster brothers and sisters. He is protective, and will bark when he hears or sees unfamiliar people or sounds. He is crate and house trained, and is currently working on commands. Sawyer does well with a routine and learns quickly. He likes car rides and walks on a leash. Since he is a little guy moving too quickly around him makes him nervous and he will run for cover. He doesn't need a huge back yard; but he definitely needs a yard where he can run off energy and have a good time. Sawyer has always had someone about his age and size to play with and needs a home where he will continue to have that companionship. Sawyer likes other dogs but he is not so friendly with cats. While Sawyer has a good time playing, he also loves a good nap and will crawl under the covers with you to sleep and he doesn't mind watching a little TV. He is always interested in what you are doing and loves balls, toys and treats and is always ready for a good time and to give you a kiss.
