My story
05/14/22 Winnie (previously Callisto) was surrendered to the shelter because her owner worked long hours and had to leave Winnie alone in the house for the majority of the day and wanted a better life for her. Winnie is an absolute sweetie pie! Within seconds, she won over her animal tenders and they all fell in love. She is said to do well with children, adults and strangers. She also like dogs and cats. Winnie is outgoing, friendly, affectionate and gentle when playing. Winnie is housebroken but wasn't able to get outside enough and did have accidents inside. She will need more frequent potty breaks in her next home. She generally minds well, but she does jump on people to say hi, jumps up to counters, and gets into trash. So when she is left alone she needed to be kenneled. Winnie was probably bored and just finding `activities` to do. Winnie would love an active home to take her on lots of adventures. Winnie knows some basic obedience like sit, down, bed, and shake. If you are interested in Winnie, then please give the shelter a call!10/13/20 *Callisto came to the shelter as a stray so not much is known about her past. Due to her poor condition on intake it is very likely that Callisto has not had the best of care in the past. Callisto is very underweight and was also urine stained upon intake but has since been bathed and fed a careful diet to prevent digestive upset. Callisto has been very friendly and outgoing during her stay at the shelter, but she does struggle with keeping her kennel clean. Callisto's new owner will need to be very patient in helping her learn manners and work on her house training. Callisto will need continued monitoring of her food intake. She should be fed small meals multiple times a day until she is up to an ideal weight. Callisto is a young, very outgoing dog looking for her forever home!May 16, 2022, 12:43 pm
