My story
Oh good, you are reading my bio! Thanks for stopping by! My name is Wilford Brimley. Some of my friends call me just Wilford, others call me just Brimley. I have also been called Willy, Brims, and Crazy Old Man. To be honest I don't know what they mean by that last one. Its not a crime to want to be with people all the time. Being left alone stresses me out. I guess my friends call it ‘separation anxiety'. I try to be calm, but I have been left too many times, and I get scared if you leave you won't come back. I came to CNHS for the first time in February 2022 as a stray. I don't even remember how I got there or what happened, but I just know my family never came to pick me up. I was really sad and cried a lot for a while. But soon a nice couple came in and made me part of their family. I was loving my life in their home for 7 months, but then I wound up back here. I guess my CNHS friends tried to get my family to come get me, but they wouldn't. That was pretty hard for me. I lost a lot of weight and I have been pretty stressed. I am trying to get my weight back on with the help of my medical friends at the shelter. Its going well, but a slow process. I pretty much love other dogs, but I don't like any funny business. I don't see why we can't just hang out in the same room and chew on tennis balls and stuff. We don't need to have any of this rumble, tumble wrestle stuff happening. I can't wait to find another family. I just hope they will be committed to keeping me around for my life. I would love to stay with the same family for the rest of my days!
