Wifey's story

　　Meet Wifey and Smokey! They are a bonded pair, looking for their forever home.

　　Ideally, they would go into a home together. However, I think they would also do ok, if there would be another small dog as companion.

　　Both came from Houston, TX after Harvey hit and were heartworm positive. Their homeless owner was no longer able to keep them and was giving them away for free. Both love being in a stable home and enjoy human company a lot. Wifey, the female is about 7.5 years old. She can be a bit shy at the beginning, but warms up quickly. She is energetic and likes to give lots of kisses. She loves food. You can tell, because of her missing waistline.

　　Smokey, the boy, is about 8.5 years old. He is a snuggle bug, loves his hot dog toy and likes to run rounds in the backyard with his Wifey. He is the perfect lap dog and enjoys relaxing in your lap.

　　Both are mellow inside the house and like to be close to their humans. They are house trained, but need frequent potty breaks when rooming freely in the house. They do well in a crate.

　　Both are fixed and up to date on their vaccines. They finished their heartworm treatment and are now on heartworm preventative.

　　The ideal home would be able to take them both in, without or with older children and be more on the quiet side. Wifey and Smokey can get scared from loud noises.

　　They do well with my other two small dogs and are ok with older children.
