English
A unique classic trunk cabin sportfish convertible which has only had two owners since new and always lived in the Stuart, FL area. Built by Whiticar Boatworks and completed in the beginning of 1983, this is Hull #55. She got a new pair of Cummins 6BT 5.9-liter diesels 210hp each in 1990, which still have under 640 hours. In 2005 she had a full paint job and was sold to the current ownership in late 2006. This owner had interest in keeping the vessels original character and made many general improvements through the builder until health challenged his abilities, which brings the boat to market today. The boat just came out of a boatyard visit in April with new antifouling. The boat is operational and has a reasonable equipment list, but there is some updating needed due to a period of minimal usage. Photos are recently taken and boat can be seen in the Palm City area of Stuart, FL.
Accommodations and Walkthough
Entering the salon from the cockpit through the hinged door with glass window there is lots of natural light due to forward deckhouse and large side windows. A lower helm is forward to the starboard side and to the port side is a dinette. The dinette has leather colored vinyl cushions in great condition and a good size table which can comfortably seat 4 with a teak fiddle spill edge. The sole is laminated wood decking and has hatches to access the engine compartment. When needed the dinette seating and table can be folded down to give extra space. There is dockside A/C with a Cruisair unit with digital thermostat. If natural ventilation is preferred, the deckhouse side windows can slide open, the foward center window can be opened and the salon door glass can fold down with a screen panel in place. There is hanging rod storage above the dinette if needed and a 12v Refrigerator is at the forward end of the dinette. The main electrical panel is to the port side and then down a few steps is the head entry to port. To the starboard side is the Galley area with stainless steel sink, 2 burner electric stove and Mica countertop with storage behind and below. Further forward to the bow is the V-berth area nicely trimmed in teak with drawer and cabinet storage beneath the berths and a large overhead deck hatch with screen. Berths are over 6'5' in length. To either side are shelves and forward there are reading lights and above a 12v Guest fan. Natural light via the side trunk cabin windows which can slide open and also have screens. The laminate wood sole extends through the lower deck.
