Description

  My story

   IN VERMONT

  Meet Whiskey!

Whiskey is 10 months old (approx. DOB tbd), male, 52 lbs., vetted, is or will be neutered, and micro-chipped. Whiskey was observed abandoned and confused being homeless in NC. We believe he was left off by his owner in a common dump your dog area to fend for himself on the streets. Our rescue friends in SC progressed with a plan to save him and was able to recover him safely! Whiskey would love a home with another dog, is good with cats, and would love a patient empathetic home to give him the time to build confidence and trust. He has been a complete gentleman with everyone and is well behaved! Whiskey is a very sweet soft soul. He is in foster with 6 other dogs and done very well. He is potty trained, crate trained, low-medium energy, and is building his confidence. He has begun to play and wag his tail! Stay tuned for more information as Whiskey is a new rescue!

  Disclosure:

Breed labels are often incorrect: we rarely know the genetic lineage of the dogs we rescue.  Many shelters and rescues specify breeds based on appearance; however, research has shown that less than 2% of a dog’s DNA determines appearance!

Passion 4 Paws does not practice the use of labels pertaining to compatibility with others or dog breed.  Labels such as “dog friendly” and “child friendly” should be used with caution as they often over-simplify the personalities and behavior of dogs.
