Whippet - Skillet - Medium - Young - Male - Dog

　　Holiday Foster Update Dec. 2012: SKILLET is such a great dog! He plays well with dogs of all ages and sizes. He loves kids and going for walks and rides in the car. He had a great time at the dog park playing and making new friends both 4 legged and 2 legged! He is a calm and loveable boy and learns commands easily. SKILLET loves to play with toys either with you or on his own. He is a quiet dog and only barks to alert you of a visitor. SKILLET is just the dog that you're looking to adopt for your family and would do well in a home or apartment setting! Update Sept. 2012: SKILLET is very sweet and intelligent. He will do just about anything for a biscuit! SKILLET likes to play and will play ball with you (until he gets bored!). He gets along well with other dogs but is not good with cats. SKILLET adores attention and wants to be with you. SKILLET is getting more comfortable being in the house and just chilling out, laying on the floor or keeping you company on the sofa. SKILLET is a very smart boy but can be a bit stubborn on learning commands! He knows ?sit?, ?wait ?and is working on ?lie down?. He has made good progress on not jumping and not chewing on things that aren?t his. He is doggie door, kennel and house trained. He will go to the door when he needs to go out. SKILLET does fine in a crate during the day and is sleeping through the night on the dog bed in my room. SKILLET LOVES to go for walks and does well on a leash! Once he sees the harness, he gets very still and is on his very best behavior so he can go for a walk! SKILLET would make a great and loyal companion! SKILLET is a male Whippet mix and is approximately 2 ½ years old (Jan. 2013). He is a medium size dog and weighs about 35 pounds. SKILLET was rescued by an ARF volunteer after he was found living as a stray. SKILLET is heartworm negative, up to date on shots, neutered and micro-chipped.
