Warmblood - Slurpee - Large - Adult - Female - Horse
Slurpee is one tall drink of water at more than 17 hands high! She's an Oldenburg/Thoroughbred cross whose friendliness is as big as she is. Slurpee can't resist checking out everybody and everything. And, if you're ever around her at feeding time, you'd know why she's called Slurpee. Her "table manners" include running her big tongue several times around her feed bowl to ensure she hasn't missed a thing! This very curious girl was born in 2003 and is advanced in her Parelli training although she tests her boundaries on a regular basis. Riding Slurpee is like being in a rocking chair as she rolls through her beautiful, long strides. Although Slurpee is a healthy and sound mare, she can tie up with muscle spasms. She needs regular exercise and a special high-fat, low-carbohydrate diet to keep her in healthy condition. She also had surgery on her stifles to correct a condition called osteochondrosis (OCD) which is a form of developmental orthopedic disease. Slurpee is an intelligent and lovely mare who would like nothing more than to find a compassionate, very experienced Parelli Level-3 or higher person who will love her, forever. Potential adopters who are proficient in other natural-horsemanship disciplines are also encouraged to apply for adoption by demonstrating their horse-handling skills.
