Wanda's story
Wanda is 5 year old Shih Tzu. Wanda was dumped at a shelter in TX where she was terrified and her future looked non-existent. Luckily we were able to get her here to CO to find her forever home.
Wanda is also known as Wicked Wanda because she has a sassy-wicked streak. Wanda loves to snuggle, play, hang out, go for walks, do everything a normal loving adorable would normally dog. She is smart, potty trained and mostly super easy. Wanda does have some resource guarding issues and she does not like other humans or doggies to take her things from her. She does get along with other dogs, as long as there is no resource for Wanda to guard. Wanda does start a week of intensive training this week which will hopefully address this behavior. Her forever family will have to continue her training with her trainer and use the support given if they decide to make her a forever part of their family. She does GREAT with her foster Momma and would do really well with a single individual. She has never acted out to her foster Momma, it's just towards others, so a forever parent who doesn't have too much chaos and can continue her training would be perfect. She is just so loving and has so much love to give, and clearly never had the stability needed to help her succeed, which we are now going to give her.
