My story

　　08/07/21 Wanda has been at a foster where she is sadi to do well with other dogs, but chases cats. Due to the cat chasing we are requiring she go to a home without cats. She loves all people, and likes to ride in a car. She also has a great appetite and eats well. Wanda is a sweetheart and she has become a favorite with her animal tenders. If you want to adopt Wanda, then please give the shelter a call!05/01/21 This energetic gal is Wanda. We do not have much information on Wanda other than that she most likely spent her previous years living outdoors. Being here at the shelter we have noticed that Wanda will eat rocks when outdoors as well as chew up blankets when indoors. Wanda is the typical Alaskan Husky meaning she has loads of energy and wants to go, go, go all the time! Wanda needs to be on leash when outdoors or in a fenced in yard where she can't escape. If you are planning on transitioning Wanda into an inside dog she will need to be potty trained, kennel trained, and would benefit from attending a basic obedience class where she can learn some commands! We do not know how Wanda does with other dogs but she has been friendly towards the dogs in the runs next to her. If choosing to introduce her to new canine friends please make sure to do so in a safe and controlled environment. Alaskan Huskies tend to have a high prey drive so please keep that in mind if you have any little critters around such as cats, pocket pets, or livestock. Wanda is going to need an owner that is willing to give her the physical and mental stimulation she needs to live her best life! She might be interested in learning how to skijor or join a sled team!
