*WALNUT's story

　　*Walnut was surrendered to the shelter due to the previous owner unable to keep him from escaping and marking on the neighbor''s property. According to the previous owners, Walnut is trained to use potty pads, but will occasionally mark inside the house. Now that Walnut is neutered, shelter staff hopes that this behaviour will decrease with time and training! The previous owners also say that Walnut dislikes other male dogs and is fearful of larger dogs, it is unknown how he is with children or cats. Walnut can also be particular in how he is touched or picked up and can be somewhat nippy, he would do best in a home with no children. Potential adopters are encouraged to bring in their dogs for mutual visits before adopting.
