Ever feel like you are literally DROWNING in cornets and trumpets? No? Then you are not me. I need to get rid of the under-played instruments from my basement. Some of them are great, as I’ll be the first to tell you. Some are not great, and I’ll tell you that too. All of them looked interesting to me at some point. Maybe they’ll be interesting for you too. This is a renowned COUESNON Bb FLUGELHORN. The Couesnon sound is the ur-timbre of the jazz flugelhorn and its rise in popularity after WWII. This one must have been right there at the beginning— the number “48” inside the fruit (it’s a pomegranate, not a pineapple BTW) indicates a 1948 date of manufacture. The horn is in good playing shape and sounds good and plays like a flugelhorn should and does. Being that its 75 years old, it has scratches and small dings along its polished flanks, and a brass top cap on the 2nd valve instead of silver. Selling because I need money and don’t play much flugelhorn any more. Comes in what’s probably the original case. Low start price of THREE HUNDRED TWENTY SEVEN DAMN U.S. DOLLARS; shipping is a flat SEVENTY ONE BUCKS in the CONUS.THE FINE PRINT: NO RETURNS, this is old stuff here and is described as best as I can make it and take it (photos, that is).
