EngineQuest a leading provider of stock and performance cylinder heads and engine components, is taking the marine market by storm with its new Vortec Hybrid head with a heat riser. This newly developed cast iron marine and stock replacement head will deal with any small block Chevy application and is the only head of its kind on the marketplace.
"Since a bulk of the aquatic market makes use of automotive-based engines, our new Vortec Hybrid head supplies machine stores and engine rebuilders with an economical option for rebuilding these engines to obtain increased airflow and horse power,".
This cylinder head is based on the EQ Vortec cylinder head that was featured in the popular "Budget Sledgehammer" integrated Popular Hot Rodding publication which produced 447 HP for under $3,500.
EQ Part # CH350G features '87-'95 consumption bolt pattern with center bolt valve cover mounting holes. These heads feature a 64cc combustion chamber, 176cc intake runner capable of exceptional flow and velocity, basic 1.94 in. diameter consumption valves and 1.50 in. exhaust valves. The intake port opening for the EQ CH350G is designed like the 68-95 consumption ports to offer simpler port and gasket matching.
The Vortec Hybrid heads are Australian made and include a thicker.4375 deck for greater strength, and set DuraBond exhaust seats for enhanced resilience. The CH350G should be used in pairs when changing OE heads (083, 191, 193, 217 and 810 castings) To ensure the greatest quality, EQ performs a 25-point quality inspection on every brand-new cylinder head delivered.
