This lovely piece is an antique German flower increased ornament dish, handpainted (Handmalerei) is stamped "Made in Germany", inscribed with the numbers 5892/93 on the back and also has the Von Schierholz porcelain mark (3 oak leaves forming a "V" inside of a shield with a crown above the shield. The dish is in gorgeous condition and is a heavy piece, measuring practically 6" throughout and it has used encrusted roses and other florals with gold gilt edging around the fluted edges. I see no fractures or chips, however there are a number of flower petals broken out of the 14 flowers on the dish. It is almost 2 inches tall. This is a charming piece, made by a business that was started in Plaue, Thuringia, now called Germany.
