If your peg is too loose, remove it and clean peg box holes of this peg with Qtip and 1or 2 droplets of light soapy water (not more), same way clean peg turning area, make sure they are dry, just wait untill they will dry and then apply rather small amount of peg dope to the peg and insert it back, and what is really important when you will install back the string, hold it such a way that it will coil as close as possible to the wall of a peg box, on that side where a peg head is.
