The canvas cover of this case has kept the exterior and the interior of this vintage

　　viola case in very good condition with a tube for extra strings, clips

　　for four bows, and two large, long storage compartments for rosin, peg dope, extra

　　bridges, pegs, sound-posts, etc.  

　　Although sturdy, beautiful, and definitely in the style of the classic Jaeger

　　Case Company, there is no label or plate indicating it as such. 

　　The latches and the snaps work, and the music compartment zippers

　　work, but please note: the zipper closures of the case itself are off their

　　track.  If you are handy, maybe you can

　　fix them.  Bottom line: The case closes tightly and safely without the side zippers.  (There is also an open seam at

　　the button flap near the leather-stitched handle, which is of no real consequence because the snap closure and the latch both work.)

　　shows the size of the instrument body cavity, which is 17” long, and the neck

　　cavity is 11-1/2”.
