This vintage South Bend split bamboo fly fishing rod is a rare find! It is a classic piece that comes with a JC Higgins fly reel.

　　There is a lot of original on this rod. Grip and eyelets appear original. The decorative wrapping is all original. The eyelets were rewrapped with matching thread. The ferrules are original and right as they should be. I refinished this rod last fall and fished it some this past spring and summer. The rod and reel is in good working condition and is ready to fish. It comes with 90 feet of Courtland 444 Sylk fly line. If you ever wanted to try bamboo this would be a good place to start. This is not a collection piece but a well built rod that is ready to fish
