This instrument is being sold as is for parts or repair. This is a former school horn that has been retired by the district that owned it. This horn is not currently in playing condition. I'll describe its defects to the best of my ability, but please understand that I am not an expert on this type of instrument (I'm a woodwind guy), so I might miss something. Also, check the pictures closely, and if in doubt, ask questions! The rim of the bell is ever so slightly wavy in one spot from having been bent slightly. There are dents, dings, pings, and nicks throughout, including on the tuning slides, and the "U" bend behind the bell. There are multiple re-solder joints, several of which were done rather poorly. The second valve slide is stuck, but the rest are free. All of the pistons and lower valve caps could be removed. The pistons are moving freely and rebounding quickly, but they are clicking when depressed. One of the pearl touch pieces is damaged. The lacquer finish is well worn, with scratching/scuffing throughout. This horn comes in an oversized hard wood shell case that is in decent shape. It has some minor scuffs and loose trim on the exterior. The inside shows normal wear and tear. There is no mouthpiece, nor any other accessories included. Please feel free to message me with any questions! Thanks again for looking!MPSlot4
