A neighbor was selling this trumpet for a decent price, so I bought it sight unseen.  When I got it home to examine it I was stunned to find the incredible condition of this vintage horn, AND IT PLAYS AS GOOD AS IT LOOKS (see photos)!  Clearly the guy selling it (I think it was his son's horn) didn't know much about trumpets.  One of the valves was in the wrong chamber so when I tested the horn in front of the seller it sounded like a sick goose, but back home after adding a few drops of valve oil on the valves and putting them in their proper chambers they now work smoothly.  It has a nice "trumpet" sound and I suspect it is a fairly small bore horn.  I looked everywhere for signs of wear on the gold lacquer and could only find one, about the size of one of my fingertips (again, see photos).  The worn spot is on the third valve slide.  There are hardly even any tiny scratches on the finish.  Amazing for a horn of this vintage.  Collectors, you should LOVE this one!!!  Both the third and first tuning slides work, but with my 85 year old arthritis plagued thumbs I wasn't able to pull out the first or second tuning slides.  The horn comes with the original case, original vintage mouthpiece, vintage music stand, and even includes the original cleaning rod and cleaning cloth still on the rod.  It also came with some very old, handwritten pages of music someone had created in pencil.  AND the original booklet on proper care for the instrument is included, as is the original warranty card!  Kind of hilarious!  The photos don't tell the entire story because it is NOT just a case of a beautiful appearance, but lousy sound.  It plays and sounds great!  I'm 85 years old and have NO trouble playing it with ease.  My wife thinks I should keep it, but I'm a photographer and have my eye on a new lens, so let the bidding begin!  U.S. buyers only!  Check my ratings!!!  I am honest, and I ship my sold items immediately.  I'll ship the horn via Priority Mail insured for the sold price plus whatever the Post Office charges me to ship it.  It weigh 11 pounds, and is 22 x 11 x 8.   NO RESERVE PRICE!!!
